Autumn is for yearning

When you stand before me slashed by the tipsy sunlight

I think of the slow morning desire blooming like autumn

Leaves that redden from the top, a creeping blush

That quivers beneath the drag of the fingers of the sun.

It is always the crown that blushes first, and I cannot

Tell the haze of our breaths apart.
