Questions I dare not ask

Days pass with your silence. How are you now? Are you still angry?
Did you get hurt by the sharp edges when my voice finally cracked, or
Missed cooking those homemade meals? Would they taste different
Now, with a sprinkle of your wordless nonchalant return to normalcy
The way you always apologised without doing so? I for one missed it.

Your silence is a blunt wall I always run into bruising a side of my body
Hoping to break through. I only have words at my disposal, and you
Do not listen to words. Do you want my action to be proof? Do you need

Space? Should I come home? Your silence tells me that there
Will come a time I will understand
And you will tell me everything. Until then,
There are questions that I dare not ask,
Answers I dare not hear, lest I want to find out
That the sky might not be blue tomorrow.
