Bird Park

Moody as hell, the flightless cassowary shakes its indifferent rump and grows pensive. A dark cloud of negativity stalks around aimlessly.

Storks perch around like a council of old world-weary saggy men frowning deeper and disapproving of what they see.

The flamingoes twitch with the stage fright of a flamboyant actor afraid of losing their youth. Obnoxiously salmon and deeply satisfied with themselves.

The cockatoos live blissfully happy in each other’s eyes and huddle tightly to make onlookers jealous. There is some comfort of intimacy in the blandness of the cage around them.
