The Forgotten In-Between

The teacher gave out 5 books to the people who excelled in Chinese, she said, (Except she wasn’t really giving out books but acknowledgement, a nod of the head) and handed it to the best in class, and the worst in class.
What about the in between?
We are forgotten, we blend into a blurry smudge of paint, of a mashed food on the floor tiles. The kinda-good-but-not-the-best are as similar as the kinda-bad-but-not-the-worst. There is a whole world of difference, you see, but at once there isn’t any difference at all. It’s not bad though, somethings suggests. It’s more normal to fall into the range of acceptable weight than either extremes. Clothes are always made for the population in between two standard deviations after all. But they always say the middle child is easily forgotten. There has to be some truth in it, right?
